E-commerce & Operations Specialist

Pay: US$1500 + revenue based bonus (up to US$1000/month)

Who You Are:

  • A data-driven thinker who can track and analyse sales performance, marketing efforts, and customer insights to help grow the business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Sales & Marketing (40-50%)

  • Manage and optimise our Shopify store to ensure product pages, content, and user experience drive sales.

  • Own email marketing (Shopify Email, Klaviyo (or similar), newsletters, and automated sequences) to engage customers and boost conversions.

  • Track sales performance, analyze data, and suggest ways to improve revenue.

  • B2B partner outreach & development

  • Manage and grow our affiliate network, onboarding new partners and tracking performance.

Customer Support & Community Engagement (20-25%)

  • Handle customer inquiries via email and chat, ensuring smooth communication and issue resolution.

  • Collect and organise customer reviews, feedback, and testimonials.

  • Engage with travellers and potential customers by sharing insights and updates from the coolest places you visit.

Operations & Optimisation (15-20%)

  • Streamline processes - automate customer service workflows, sales funnels, and follow-ups.

  • Oversee project timelines, working with freelancers and collaborators to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Conduct market research to spot new travel trends and potential product opportunities.

Admin & Finance (10-15%)

  • Manage basic bookkeeping, invoices, and payment tracking.

  • Organise and maintain business documents, contracts, and assets.

What you bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in ecommerce, digital marketing, or operations, preferably within a travel or lifestyle brand.

  • Experience with Shopify (managing products, tracking sales, and optimising the store for conversions).

  • Proficiency in email marketing tools (Shopify Email, Klaviyo, or similar) and CRM platforms.

  • Strong data analysis skills - comfortable tracking sales, marketing performance, and customer insights.

  • Solid customer service experience, ensuring excellent communication and support.

  • Comfortable working with automation tools (Zapier or similar) to improve efficiency.

It’s a bonus if you also have:

  • A passion for sustainability, travel, and an understanding of the responsible travel market.

  • Experience in affiliate marketing, referral programs, or influencer collaborations

  • International experience, having worked with a globally distributed remote team.

More Info…

  • This is a long-term, ongoing full-time (contractor) position. The hours are flexible across 7 days a week as long as the work gets done in a timely manner (i.e., 8 hours on Mondays, 2 hours on Wednesday, 6 hours on Saturdays).

  • You can work from anywhere, as long as there’s 2-4 hours crossover with 9 AM - 8 PM ICT for weekly meetings.

  • You need the right remote work setup - a fast and reliable internet connection, a quiet space, a quality working laptop, headset/microphone, a camera, and the right tools and software installed.
